Mercedes G-class impresses with special editions

Mercedes Geländewagen does not leave people indifferent — either you fall in love with its charisma, or you annoy with some detail of the Mesozoic era. We cannot remain indifferent to what the Germans have been doing with the Geländewagen in recent years. The model constantly receives updates outside and inside, which can hardly be called brutal. LED composition of the headlights, an updated display installed on the center console, an expanded body color scheme due to yellow, green, orange, red and purple colors … In addition, at the end of 2015, the Germans prepared an individualization program for the G-class. It also has two special editions — Designo Manufaktur Edition and Exclusive Edition.

Orders are already being accepted in Germany, and the first vehicles will appear at dealers in September 2017. The Mercedes G 350 d designo Manufaktur Edition costs 109,878 euros, while the G 500 of the same series costs 121,683 euros. For comparison, the regular G 350 G and G 500 cost €91,409 and €106,701 respectively.

Four illuminated aluminum treadplates, black suede insoles, chrome trim around the power seat system and around the audio speakers in the front door panels are standard on the designo Manufaktur Edition.

Designo Manufaktur Edition is available for G 350 d and G 500 modifications. These cars are painted in one of three colors — Designo Magma Red, Designo Mystic White and Obsidian Black. In addition, the grille, 19-inch five-spoke wheels, side moldings, door mirror housings and spare wheel cover are painted black. In the cabin — expensive black nappa leather with red thread stitching, a two-tone steering wheel, black headlining and red seat belts. The basic equipment of the special version includes multicontour heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a leather-trimmed instrument panel.

German dealers are asking €163,125 and €287,658 for the Mercedes-AMG G63 Exclusive Edition and G 65 Exclusive Edition. Standard AMG versions cost 145,358 and 275,723 euros respectively.

From May 2017, the G-Class can be ordered with Mercedes me connect. With it, the owner can communicate with cars remotely from anywhere in the world. The system in Europe offers emergency assistance or maintenance.

The second version of the Exclusive Edition is addressed to the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and G 65 crossovers. Outwardly, they are distinguished from the regular Geländewagen by original rims (21 inches) painted in matt black, marking in the form of stripes with the unique AMG Monza Gray Magno matt gray color . Regular traditional body colors are also available for the Exclusive Edition. The custom interior can be made in two colors — both on the dashboard and on the seats. The client can choose one of several combinations. In addition, instead of standard details in piano lacquer, you can order a two-tone steering wheel and carbon interior elements.
